Meet and learn about the team
Pledge Drive veteran and consultant John Munson comes to the PledgeDriver team from Wisconsin Public Radio where he spent 27 years as one of WPR’s Regional Managers.

While at WPR, John was instrumental in the transition to scripted pledge drives and the implementation of Pledge Driver. He developed training protocols for on-air pitchers and was instrumental in the recruitment and training of new pledge drive talent. He also championed the idea of air-checking as a way to help hosts become more effective in their use of scripts as well as discover new ways of delivering WPR’s fund raising messages.

John retired from WPR in 2017. He and his wife, Linda, now divide their time between Superior, Wisconsin and Mesa, Arizona.
Roger Gomoll began his public radio career in 1975 as a college student working for Minnesota Public Radio station KCCM. In 1981 he moved to the main studios of MPR in St Paul. In his 23 years at MPR he was a board operator, classical music announcer, field recording engineer, award-winning program producer, on-air fundraising manager, and regional station manager.

While producing pledge drives for the MPR network, Roger brought his talents of writing and spot building to a program that drastically decreased on-air pledge days and increased income. His audio spots were shared nationally through NPR's On Air Fundraising Partnership.

As a consultant, Roger has helped stations focus their messaging and efficiency through the thoughtful use of his PledgeDriver scripting software.
